For those who love a nature hike, but also love the comforts of civilization, the Beldersay tour is perfect for you!
This trip does not require any special equipment, but during the tour you will have steep climbs and descents. If you have had operations in the past or have life support devices / implants (such as heart valve prosthesis) or have any health conditions (such as asthma, high blood pressure), special dietary requirements or restrictions, including a vegetarian / vegan diet, please let us know. know.
Beldersay is a mountainous region just a two-hour drive from Tashkent, popular in winter for skiing and in summer for hiking, picnics and beautiful scenery. You will be able to admire the profile of Big Chimgan, of the Ugam-Chatkal mountain range, a hike on the other side of the granite mountain. The hike route will take you through canyons, along rivers and waterfalls.
Although the hike itself is only about 7-8km (4-5 miles), this is the best tour for some unforgettable memories in the mountains of Uzbekistan.
Day 1: Tashkent – Beldersay
In the morning, departure for the Chimgan Mountains (80 km, ~ 2 h.). You will travel the road which lies in a picturesque setting full of local villages, gardens and streams. Check-in at the Beldersay Hotel. After lunch, take the 3km long cable car into the Beldersay Gorge to the Kumbel peak (2080m) where the longest ski run begins. Ascent to the summit (2350 m, 45 min). Enjoy the panoramic view of the Chirchik River Valley. If the sky is clear and the weather is nice you can even see Tashkent from the summit. Descent to the hotel on a path along the ski slope among bushes of wild sides (1800 m). Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 Beldersay – Tashkent
Check-out from the hotel after breakfast. We will go down to the Mramornaya river (Н = 1500m), we will go up the stream to the Urta Kumbel pass. After 1.5 hours of fairly leisurely walking we will reach a small birch grove, picturesquely situated on the bank of the mountain river. Short rest and we begin the 45-minute climb to the Urta-Kumbel pass (1820 m above sea level). The climb usually takes 30 min and we will find ourselves in the saddle of the pass.

We will see the Beldersay river valley, the Chet-Kumbel pass and the road that will lead us. The flat descent will lead us to the small grove, located on the bank of the Beldersay, where we will have lunch.
After lunch we will continue our walk and climb to the Chet-Kumbel Pass (1850m). The panoramic view from the pass allows us to see the Nurekata River Valley and the top of Big Chimgan (3309m). Having admired the view, we will start to get off at the Beldersay cable car station and the road where our minibus will be waiting for us (1550 m). Return to Tashkent.
