BUKHARA AND SAMARKAND TOUR  “4 DAYS”

The amazing four-day cultural tour in Uzbekistan is a unique chance to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient cities of Bukhara and Samarkand, which managed to preserve the architectural monuments of the ruling eras of the powerful dynasties of the Middle Ages. The Samarkand tour program includes a visit to the famous Registan Square – the center of the capital of the ancient powerful empire founded by Tamerlane, the Shakhi-Zinda Complex – one of the shrines of the Islamic world with the shrine of Khusam ibn Abbas, cousin brother of a Prophet Mohammed, Gur-Emir Mausoleum of the Timurid dynasty and other unique monuments. You will also visit the Holy Bukhara. For over two thousand years this city, a pillar of Islam, has acquired its inimitable aspect. The Samanid Mausoleum, the Kalyan Minaret.

 

Day 1 TASHKENT BUKHARA

Transfer to the train station at 06:30 in the morning. The high-speed train, Afrosiab, departs from Tashkent at 07:30 and arrives in Bukhara at 11:17. Upon arrival you will be met by the GOLDEN TERRA TRAVEL driver and transferred to the hotel. Luggage deposited at the hotel. Check-in at noon. You will take a sightseeing walking tour with a guide in the historic center of Bukhara, which has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Maghoki-Attori mosque, the Chor Minor madrasa, the domes of the ancient market, the Ulugbek madrasas, the minaret and the Kaylan mosque and the Miri-Arab mosque, the legendary Ark Fortress and the Bolo-Khauz mosque. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 BUKHARA SAMARKAND

Check out of the hotel and out of town to visit Sitorai Mokhi-Khossa, the summer residence of the last emir of Bukhara, the unique site combining oriental and Russian architecture. We will continue towards the Bakhauddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum. Return to Bukhara and visit the mausoleums of Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub. At 14:40 transfer to the train station. We will take the Afrosiab train to Samarkand, departing at 15:52 and arriving at 17:25 (270 km). Upon arrival, the driver will transfer you to your hotel in Samarkand. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of the tour: 4-5 hours

 

Day 3 SAMARKAND

You will meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby to begin the city tour. Visit the fascinating Registan Square, the remains of the Bibi-Khanum Mosque, the Siyob Bazaar, the Ulugbek astronomical observatory, the Shah – i – Zinda necropolis and the Gur-Emir mausoleum. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4 SAMARKAND – TASHKENT

Check-out from the hotel until noon. Continue the city tour: visit the Afrosiab Museum, we will continue to the village of Ko’nigul to explore the traditional way of making Samarkand paper from mulberry. Enjoy free time with car and driver at your disposal after the sightseeing tour. In the late afternoon, transfer to the train station to take the Afrosiab high-speed train departing for Tashkent. Arrival in Tashkent, transfer to hotel / private residence. End of the tour.
